Brazilian driver takes on penultimate round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and returns to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America for its fifth round.

The legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway will set the stage for a particularly demanding weekend for Kiko Porto (Banco Daycoval / Toyota Gazoo Racing / Team: Rafa Racing).
The Brazilian driver from Pernambuco will face two different challenges, both under the same banner: Rafa Racing Team. Driving the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO, Kiko will contest the ninth and penultimate round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge alongside American driver Varun Choksey. In the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, he will return to the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, this time sharing driving duties with Tyler Gonzalez. This will not be Kiko Porto’s first visit to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Brazilian knows the challenges of the circuit well and also boasts an impressive record at the venue. In 2020, he scored a podium finish in USF2000 and returned to Indianapolis the following year to claim a victory in the category. More recently, in 2024, Kiko also stood on the podium twice in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. In the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, Kiko heads into the closing stages of the 2026 season at one of the most iconic circuits in motorsport. The schedule at Indianapolis Motor Speedway gets underway this Friday (18), with two free practice sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. On Saturday (19), qualifying is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., followed by the race, which will run for two hours and is scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m. Brasília time. Known worldwide as the home of the Indianapolis 500, Indianapolis Motor Speedway combines a rich racing heritage with technical characteristics that demand precision from drivers. For Kiko, the event also represents an opportunity to make further progress during the closing stages of his first full-season IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge campaign. "It’s a track with an enormous history in motorsport, while also presenting us with a significant technical challenge. In IMSA, we are entering the final two rounds of the championship, so we need to make the most of every session to understand the car’s behavior and turn that work into a consistent race result," said Kiko Porto. In the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, the Brazilian will make his third appearance of the season. Once again called upon to replace British driver Jem Hepworth, Kiko will share the #2 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 with American Tyler Gonzalez, also representing Rafa Racing Team. The fifth round of the championship will get underway this Friday (18), with two free practice sessions. On Saturday (19), qualifying will take place at 9:50 a.m. Brasília time. Later that day, Kiko will return to the track for the opening race of the weekend, scheduled for 7:45 p.m. The second race will take place on Sunday (20) at 1:20 p.m. Competing in two categories on the same weekend puts Kiko up against an intense schedule, with cars featuring different characteristics and requiring distinct demands both on and off the track. At the same time, the experience expands the driver’s role within Rafa Racing Team and further highlights the versatility that has characterized his career in North American motorsport. "It’s a weekend that requires a great deal of concentration because I need to quickly switch my references between the two cars. At the same time, there is an important advantage in working with the same team: I already know how Rafa operates, and that helps with communication and preparation. I want to make the most of this experience, contribute to the team and leave Indianapolis knowing that we extracted everything we could from the weekend," concluded the Brazilian driver. The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America races will be streamed live on the official IMSA and Lamborghini Squadra Corse YouTube channels.
